The stage is set for the second most popular football tournament on the planet earth , after the World Cup , two formidable foes in World and European football lock horns to determine who goes to the finals of this years Euro 2024 championship .

Spain’s victory over Germany came at a significant cost as Pedri sustained a knee injury that has probably ended his tournament.
Dani Olmo replaced Pedri against Germany and should come into the starting side after scoring in that game, and providing the assist for Merino’s winner.
Boss Luis de la Fuente will also be forced into changes in defence as Robin Le Normand and Dani Carvajal are suspended.
France are at full strength and boss Didier Deschamps must decide whether to recall Adrien Rabiot to his midfield after suspension, or keep the faith with Eduardo Camavinga after he impressed against Portugal.
Forward Randal Kolo Muani could be relegated back to the bench with Ousmane Dembele and Marcus Thuram pushing for recalls.

Les Blues are set to start with their sixth different attacking setup of Euro 2024 on Tuesday when France face Spain in the semi-finals.
Les Bleus have never stuck with the same system twice in their pursuit of goals in Germany, having reached the final four despite their failure to score any goals of their own in open play.
Just a Kylian Mbappe penalty has been registered by a French player alongside two own goals for a team which has relied heavily on its defence to make it this far – having only conceded once in five games.
Mbappe’s broken nose, suffered late on in the opening win over Austria, has certainly disrupted their plans as well as the form of their star striker, but even so it has been a remarkably turgid tournament from the two-time European champions and pre-tournament favourites.
Deschamps, however, has confirmed the striker will start – and is now confident he is improving.
“From a muscular point of view, he’ll definitely be on the pitch,” said the France boss on Monday.
“We wanted him to rest up as much as possible. We’ve done everything we could and I’m convinced Kylian is in a good place. He’ll do everything to give 110 per cent Tuesday , as will the rest of the group.”
Reports in France suggest Antoine Griezmann will be the latest attacker up for the chop when they face Spain after two underwhelming displays in a diamond formation, which marked his return from already being dropped earlier in the tournament.

Up front, captain Alvaro Morata will again be supported by Nico Williams and 16-year-old Lamine Yamal, the latter of whom has created 14 chances for his teammates at these finals – the most by a Spanish player at any major tournament since Xavi’s total of 25 at Euro 2012.
With the slate wiped clean at this stage, France have no disciplinary issues to worry about, but Kylian Mbappe’s nose injury remains a source of concern for Didier Deschamps and co.
The former Paris Saint-Germain striker has scored only one goal from 20 shots at Euro 2024 thus far; indeed, his overall strike rate at European Championships stands at a meagre 3%.
By contrast, ‘Magic’ Mike Maignan can boast a save ratio of 94% to this point – the best of any goalkeeper that has played more than one match in Germany – and he will start behind an unchanged defence.
Adrien Rabiot is back from a one-match ban, but it remains to be seen whether he can displace Eduardo Camavinga, who deputised in the French engine room against Portugal.

Spain looks more likly to win in their sixth meeting with France in a major tournament.
